I’m incredibly excited to finally announce that I have officially finished my very first Ricky Croft album, Different, which will be released on Friday, May 22, 2026, on all streaming platforms.
This project means so much to me. I put a huge amount of work, emotion, and creativity into every lyric and every song on this album. Different is a mix of emotion, darkness, energy, confidence, and dance all brought together into one experience. I wanted this album to feel real. Not just something you listen to, but something you truly feel.
The title track, Different, is especially important to me because it’s a celebration of all of us who have ever felt different, misunderstood, or like we never truly fit into the mold society creates. Instead of hiding those differences, the song is about embracing them and turning them into strength. Every person has something unique about them, and Different is meant to remind people that standing out is not a weakness, it’s power. The song carries that uplifting dance energy while still delivering a message about self-acceptance and confidence.
Another deeply personal song on the album is One More Night. This track is the emotional heart of the project. It’s about continuing to move forward no matter what life throws at you, whether it’s fear, heartbreak, loneliness, anxiety, loss, or uncertainty. We all go through moments where we feel exhausted emotionally or mentally, but One More Night is about finding the strength to keep going, even when things feel overwhelming. I wanted the song to feel emotional, comforting, and hopeful at the same time.
Throughout the album, some songs come from darker emotional places, while others are meant to make you move, let go, and dance without thinking twice. My hope is that when you listen, you connect with the lyrics, feel the emotions behind the music, and enjoy every moment of the journey.
Creating this album has been an unforgettable experience for me, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with all of you. Thank you to everyone who has supported Ricky Croft and believed in this vision from the beginning.
This is only the start.
